Senior Associate, Bankable Frontier Associates
Caitlin Sanford is a social science researcher interested in the financial behavior and needs of low-income people in developing countries. She spent the past few years leading the Consumer Insights team at Bankable Frontier Associates, a research and consulting firm that promotes financial access in developing countries. Sanford has designed and managed numerous quantitative and qualitative studies with underserved populations, and served as principal investigator for the Mexico and Mozambique Financial Diaries projects. She is especially passionate about consumer protection for microfinance clients, and about realism and responsibility in leveraging technology for international development. Sanford holds a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and a master’s from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
