Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani is an Emmy-nominated television correspondent, award-winning podcast host, and news producer living in between New York City and London. For the past decade, she has traveled around the world as a journalist for the likes of NBC News and VICE on HBO covering a gamut of subjects—from politics to entertainment.
Modarressy-Tehrani has appeared on multiple news channels including BBC News, CBS, NBC and Sky News talking about US politics foreign affairs, with a recent intensive focus on Iran’s revolutionary uprisings.
Known for her hard-hitting interview style and sensitive reporting, she is a respected moderator who has challenged interviewees and audiences alike at World50, Davos, Brookings, Women in the World, Cannes Lions, and others. Her writing has appeared in The Washington Post, HuffPost, Vanity Fair and many other international outlets.
Season 5 of her award-winning podcast ‘American Metamorphosis,’ a partnership between The Atlantic and BCG, airs this Spring.
Modarressy-Tehrani has a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Columbia University’s School of Journalism, and graduated from Oxford University with a degree in English.
