Artist and activist Sepideh Moafi currently stars in the critically acclaimed Apple TV+ miniseries Blackbird and the upcoming Class of ’09 on FX/Hulu (May 2023), Scavengers Reign on HBO Max (Oct. 2023), and the film I’ll Be Right There. Past works include The L Word: Generation Q (Showtime), The Deuce (HBO Max), and The Killing of Two Lovers (Neon). Her stage work spans original off-Broadway musicals to plays, operas, and concerts in leading theaters worldwide, including The David Geffen Hall—NY Philharmonic, Davis Symphony Hall & The John F. Kennedy Center. She is an ambassador for the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and Other Side of Hope literary magazine for refugee/immigrant writers, and serves on advisory boards for Talent Beyond Boundaries and Eat OffBeat. Sepideh works closely with Abdorrahman Boroumand Center and various Iran human rights groups, as well as organizations that provide humanitarian aid, legal counsel, and opportunities for displaced and marginalized people.
